Posted: 6/15/04 at 9:06amGoing to see it tonight. I have seen it twice before ( brought each of my sisters) My friend started loving the music so we are going as a group tonight 5 of us, me and my sister have seen it 3 who have not so should be fun. Always love to see their reactions. Anyone see the tour recently? It will be a LOT of fun regardless.

Posted: 6/15/04 at 9:42amI think they just recast much of the tour. I don't know if they've put the new people in yet, though.

Posted: 6/15/04 at 11:51amHey there, to set the record straight Constantine Mouralis is Roger in Boston. I know because one of my best friends Brian is Mark on the tour. The cast stays in until July 4th and the new cast which is getting set in July for rehearsals with an August launch will take over from there. Leslie is an amazing Maureen. Everyone go to the Wang to see it!!!!!

nycboy777 - Brian was great, and hot!!! Loved him!
The whole cast is great. I didn't see Constantine in Atlanta, maybe he wasn't doing matinees?
Keep your eye out for Rebecca Jones. Her Joanne is a bit different, but she is DIVA! Jaime Lee Kirchner is a good Mimi as well. She's very Daphne-esque.

Constantine (sort of) explained this himself at compulsivebowlers.com.

Posted: 6/15/04 at 11:50pmI really enjoyed the touring cast. But I live too far away from NY, nor do I have the money to go see big productions unless they go on tour. They all do really well, the ones that stick out in my mind are the: Maureen, Mimi, and Collin. Its very good. You'll have a good time.

Leslie went to Kent State University, right near me and where my sister goes!
I enjoyed Maggie Benjamin and Sara Schatz better, but she was good. Sara Schatz was the most comedic Marueen during Over The Moon.

I'm going Sunday afternoon, but I've seen this cast before. I love Brian's Mark ! He's my second favorite Mark, next to Mr. Matt Caplan, of course. :)

Saw it Tuesday night. The cast was REALLY good! I thought the girl who played Mimi was excellent. Jaime Lee Kirchner. I also thought Rebecca Jones who played Joanne was beyond good. she was the first Joanne I ever saw that I actually was interested in. The other Joanne's I saw were good...just didn't really care much for their take on her. I never had sympathy for Joanne really. Rebecca did a great job. Jeff Scot Carey was good as roger as well. Marcus Paul James as Collins, Leslie Diamond as Maureen were all very good.
Something though about Contact and Angels scene threw me off. they used a white light that BLINDED me for a second for his death which I knew they did but they used it for I feel the whole "take me" part. I could not emotionally connect to it cause honestly I was distracted by it.
all in all I thought it was def. a good cast. For all going enjoy!
Oh one more note..I had the cheaper seats so beware if you have never seen it....cause it is VERY hard to hear the actual Dialogue. 2 of the 3 who have never seen it have also never heard the CD so they were TOTALLY confused at points

Posted: 6/17/04 at 11:37amI'm so glad to hear that the cast is that good. I've never seen RENT so this is a big thing for me. I think I'll be able to hear everything. I'm seated in the right orchestra, row V, seats 2 and 4. So I believe everything will be fine seeing and hearing wise, hopefully. Can't wait to see "Out Tonight"!
