Have any of you sat in the first couple of rows of Rent by getting the $20 lottery tickets? If so, was it great seeing the show that close or do u think it's better to sit further back. Are you able to see everything comfortably or do u miss the whole picture of the show by sitting too close? Please let me know your thoughts.
I've sat in front row before. I loved it each time. For Wedding Singer, front row was partial view because the stage was a bit high. I am not familiar with the Nederlander Theater. It the stage is a bit high, maybe sitting three or four rows back is better.
I've seen RENT 8 times and every time except once has been in the first row.
It's to me-the best place to see the show. It's not uncomfortable and you see everything fine.

Both times I've tried the RENT lotto- I've been lucky enough to win.
The front seats are fantstic and you can see everything. It's not like the Neil Simon (Hairspray Theatre) where your neck hurts after you sit in the front row.
I've sat in the front row in the middle and on the side and both are fantastic!
Just sat in the front row today...tried lotto for the first time and (obviously) won, although it was very crowded this morning. As I waited for the show to begin I was already getting a little worried about my neck, but I guess that was just from having nothing else to do--once the show started, it was fine. Hell, more than fine...this was my first time seeing Rent in a year, and being so close to everything and everyone reminded me why I loved this show to begin with. Seasons of Love is especially beautiful from the first and second rows--it's eye contact-a-go-go. If you can try the lotto, do it. Hopefully you'll get lucky, and if you do I really don't think you'll regret the experience of sitting in those seats. Just enjoy the ride.
