I know that they perform in Bryant Park, but has anyone ever been to one of the GMA performances there? I was just wondering if anyone had advice on how early to get there, what to bring, how long it is, that sort of stuff. I leave Thursday for NYC so any advice before then would be appreciated!

I went on Bryant Park's website and it says you should get there no later than 7 am. I don't know how busy it'll be this week. On July 4th, on my way to Jersey Boys SRO line, I walked by where Chaka Khan happened to be performing. The crowd was tiny and I was able to stand up front; however, it was raining.

I saw Miley Cyrus as well, and it was more packed. I was able to find random spaces, but outside the lawn area. The rear of the lawn was actually empty. I would say for Rent, get there no later than 7-8 am. I would think it'd be more popular than Chaka Khan, but less busy than Miley Cyrus.
