If you were going to suggest going to see one of these shows to someone...which one would you suggest and why?

Well If you can get tickets Wicked is a good one. Although I've seen Rent 3 times and it's such a powerful show. one minute you are partying the next minute your crying. It's probally my faviorte show on B'way right now. I would say Rent
I would say Les Mis they already have tours of all the rest. Les Mis is only a limited engagment.
RENT is an awesome story with great music. If you have not seen it before, see it.
I love all four of these shows with all of my heart But... LES MIZ hands down. You won't regret it. It is the best show of all time IMO, and it is only supposed to be around for a short while. As someone mentioned, the tours of the other three are going strong... as are their Broadway counterparts.

LOL. Wicked, Rent, and PotO? HAHAHA
I'd definitely say Les Miserables. Others are "meh"
It's so weird having two Cool Kids.
But COOOOLkid, you're the original and the best!
Les Miserables! It has some of the best sets, stage effects, costumes and lighting!

Why, thank you!
You're welcome.
If you like characters that do everything because "they're in LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE!" then you'll LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Les Miserables.
I, personally, can't stand it.
Everytime I've seen it, I've just wanted Eponine to stab Cosette with a pair of scissors and do away with her.

HAHAHAHA! That would... end the story, doesn't it?
I hated Phantom. I had loved the music, so I was very surprised that I hated the play. I thought it was too dark. I know that may seem silly, as all of them take place in a dark theatre. But I thought it was long and boring.
Les Mis used to be my favorite. I've seen it 5 times. Les Mis has a good storyline, the music is great, it's sad and funny. Just an all around great show.
Rent kicked Les Mis out of the number 1 spot in my list of favorite shows. I've seen Rent 7 times and I love *everything* about it.
I just recently saw Wicked. It was an ok show. I'm glad I saw it, but I won't see it again. I don't see why everyone raves about it, although it did have some good parts. I got goosebumps during Defying Gravity. But still, I just thought it was so-so.
But my vote would be for Les Mis, as that's not touring anymore.
If the person is or has kids, I would say Wicked. RENT is a little risque for kids. POTO and Les Mis would probably be a little boring for younger kids. If it's an adult, I would say RENT or Les Mis. RENT is pretty easy to get tickets for. Les Mis is only around for a little while, so take advantage of it while you can.

yeah, for younger kids, definitely wicked, no doubt. If they're like.. 14-15 or older, and they seem like the type of person who'd appreciate it, I'd send them to RENT in a friggin INSTANT. But, I mean it really just depends on the person because some people like theater just to be enjoyable and fun, and for it not to be depressing or making you think or anything like that, so if they were like that I'd probably pick another show for them to go to all togeteher, since all the once mentioned in this post are more sad/depressing shows but if they dont mind that, since RENT, Les Miz, and Phantom are all kinda the same age group and feel, I'd def go with RENT. Though I like phantom and LOVE les miz, RENT is just... much more relatable for me personally. Now if they were adult (like older adult, not 20s or 30s), I'd probably say les miz
Rent is relatable for all people, not only teenager's.

Depends who it is, if it's an older crowd I would suggest Phantom, if it's someone in their 40s I would suggest something like Wicked or Les Miz, and if it's a teenager or twentysomething, I would suggest RENT or Wicked.
