Alfred Molina would work too BUT having thought VERY hard ( & yes it did hurt) I think John Lithgow would be perfect. He's got the height & some of the weight (remember how padded Edna is) he has a name recognition value ( a very important quality as the Producers have learnt) He can play broad ( in every sense of the world) While his dancing in Sweet Smell of Success was limited he has some ability and has recently played a Dame role in a ballet in N.Y. So, whataya think (don't hurt yourselves! )

What's all this fuss and feathers abouot? You need someone to play Edna? Call on Dollypop!!!!! He'd be great in the role!
