Posted: 7/13/06 at 4:09pmYes, the ending is the same, I think it was supposed to abrupt or at least unsentimental. They wanted to hint at the mystery of what happened to Eva after she died, but it had to be filtered through the voice of Che, who wouldn't have much cared. The last ten minutes of this production are actually pretty effective.

Posted: 7/13/06 at 4:19pmWell, that makes sense. I guess I'm so use to a musical ending with soem big anthem or something, so it was a little abrupt. But now it sort of makes sense. It's an interesting story, that's for sure.

musical_devotee, they do have the second verse of Lament in London with the same lyrics you mentioned. I went to the show yesterday and kept an ear out for it

When she was "returned" to Buenos Aires in 1974 (following the death of Juan Peron) the two bodies were briefly on display, but since then have been locked in the family vault in the Recoleta Cemetary.
