You can always find something to eat here and it's reasonable and right next to a number of theaters:

Ellens Stardust is fun, cheap, but touristy.
And the singing can get annoying after a while.

anywhere with pizza
anywhere with hotdoggs
Seattle Pizza Company (Times Square)
if you have time, you could take a 15 minute subway ride to the Bronx to Arthur Miller street. They have the best Mom&Pop Italian resturants, and White Castle!

Posted: 12/6/05 at 7:57pmJohn's is the best!!!!! Eatery on 9th and 53st is also really good -- trendy and fun but not too pricey. I love Mangia which is really fun Italian across the street from Eatery.

John's is uber good. When I come in, I usually eat their every night because it's quick and it's right in the heart of broadway. It's some of the best pizza you'll ever have. Like Avenue Q good.
P.S. Ollies is also very good cheap chinese food. If I'm not mistaken, it's on the same street as John's just on the other side. Great food. Like Spelling Bee good (not as good as Avenue Q though).

Posted: 12/6/05 at 8:31pmIf you head over to Ninth Ave between 49th and 53rd there are some great, resonably priced places. Arriba Arriba, Vinyl, Vintage, the Eatery, Renaissance Diner, etc. You can actually sit and have table service and not spend too much.

Posted: 12/6/05 at 9:32pmIf you're really on a budget, there's the Evergreen Diner. It's located on the same street as the Cort Theater. At the Evergreen, you can get a blue plate special and something to drink for around $10. Don't expect gourmet dining, but it'll get you through the night. (It can't be all that bad, the local cops eat there!)
