I love Carmines, on the corner by the Majestic Theatre. Its like 20 dollars an entree, but they give you enough to feed four people just about. So if you get two entres and share with everyone its pretty in expensieve, depending on how many people would split the 40 dollars.
Its Italian food, by the by, Family style!
Ollies is good...I like the food and the prices are great.
Bubba Gump's...decent food, don't remember the prices...didn't care for the Forrest Gump theme.
John's...of course
St. Andrews Pub...a few dollars more, but I tend to just eat from the appetizer menu

I love Barrymores on 45th. If it hasn't closed yet that is...anyway, it's reasonable for the area. I also recommend John's. Renaissance Diner (9th and 52nd) is one of my favorites. Film Center Cafe on 8th? 9th? and 45th is cool too.
Cabarethed, Barrymore's is still there and open...well, it was as of this weekend when I took a shortcut over West 45th for old times sake.
For 10 a person:
Tea Den Chinese restaurant
The place is modest. The decor drab but they have decent food and they have a price fix menu:
Glass of jug wine (Not Fancy wine)
Appetizer
Entree
Chinese tea
and dessert for $10.00
It is on 54th and 8th
It is great for $10.00
I also like Film Center Cafe on 9th for a great budget brunch.
11.00 buys you a delicious brunch and unlimited champagne or mimosas.
Enjoy.
I absolutely love Heartland Brewery. I think there are four throughout the city, but there is one on West 43rd. Their Cobb salad is amazing, and they have this pumpkin ale that is so good (if you are of age of course). You can check out the menu here:

Heartland is about 25 per person.
I love the springrolls, but I try to avoid them.
Very fattening and the best thing Heartland makes.
I also love his homemade diet rootbeer which I begged John to create.
If you can afford fried food try his buffalo chicken springrolls.
ORGASMIC FRIED HEAVEN.
