And the whole scene with Elle studying for her LSATs went out the window for me because there were shirtless men on stage, lol.
the wholeeeee scene of this im trying to pay attention to the delta nu's but i always find myself staring at Ven!
The Auditorium Theater capacity is 2400 seats. Having been to both Shea's and the Aud for many shows, the Aud is my preference. As mentioned the sound at Shea's is often a problem and I have never really experienced this at the Aud. Also, it is quite a bit smaller (almost 800 seats). Those last rows at Shea's are really far away!
On another note: is the tour selling any merchandise for Broadway Cares? Autographed windowcards, etc?

No announcement about special merchandise last night at the Auditorium.
I was really disappointed by Ken Land's Callahan. Blood in the Water was mostly spoken and he just wasn't commanding in the 2nd act. Now I feel bad that I never appreciated what Michael Rupert brought to that role.
Thanks eschneid, we see the show Saturday

I agree. But I did think he was a little bit better in the second act. I don't know if it was because I was right by the orchestra, but when he sang Blood in the Water I could hardly hear him. This happened other times with different actors.

I agree there was something odd going on with the orchestra, maybe the first show integrating some local musicians? I haven't seen a touring show or been to the Auditorium in a really long time though so it could just be me unfamiliar with the acoustics or the pared down orchestra. I hope it smoothes out over the weekend.
I saw the matinee today in Rochester and the sound was horrible. I had a group of 25 people with me and many complained. It was not technical problems, it was just the volume level of the mics. There were points where the mics seemed non-existent! I was glad to have knowledge of the show because dialog was very difficult to hear. We were only 20 rows back from the stage and it seemed that the entire show volume could be increased quite a bit. I have never experienced this problem with any other show at the Auditorium Theatre.
