Well they had to leave room for all the "For Your Consideration" Oscar ads.
My guess is about 50 percent of the actual review made it into print.
'Tis the season. And Variety has its priorities.

Posted: 2/14/07 at 10:27amPatti is against the over-microphonication of Broadway. She's a traditionalist. Use your voice and skills to get to the back of the house. I think they miked the LA Opera piece because of spoken dialogue in such a big space. Sound systems are such right now on Bway that you can't even tell who's saying a line unless they step forward or have a spotlight on them.
