The only ones who misfired last night were the extremely disruptive ushers. It was a very lively, supportive audience- nobody was doing anything against theater rules (that was visually seen atleast.)
Yet during the whole show.....the ushers went up the side steps, down the side steps, sitting on the side steps, taking turns sitting on the side steps, one would come into the house, one would leave the house, one going in the house curtain, one out the house curtain, another pulling the house curtain closed, and open, and closed again, sitting in an empty orchestra seat, getting out of an empty orchestra seat, one was even sitting on the side steps chewing gum like a cow during the last 20 minutes of the show. For the hundreds of dollars I layed out for tickets in the orchestra, I'd like to see and hear the actors during the show, not the ushers.

Just because he only has a 3 month contract doesnt' mean that it can't be extended if all parties involved are willing.
Sadly, I don't know if ITH has tremendous staying power. Time will tell.
And I would have complained like hell about the ushers behavior.

Posted: 1/27/10 at 7:30amThe ushers, and I can not blame them here, were probably expecting the rowdy HSM bunch to cause problems. Nice to hear that it was a pleasant surprise for all.

Posted: 1/27/10 at 2:16pmThe funny thing is, if you asked someone to look at the photo of Corbin and Marcy and say which one LOOK more Hispanic and which one looks more African-American, most people would say Corbin looks Hispanic and Marcy looks African-American.
