Is the revival eligibility rule that for a show to be nominated in said category. It has to be 10 years from its original opening?
Note also that the last performance timing includes any professional production, not just Broadway.

So will Spring Awakening be eligible for revival?
Hogan, correct me if Im wrong, but I remember reading that the "any professional production" aspect was only for mountings in New York (can't recall if it was only Manhattan or all 5 boroughs). So, for instance, something performed professionally 8 years ago in Boston or Chicago could be deemed original by the Tonys. Unless they deem it a "classic" because its been part of the cannon for many years, in which case it goes into revival.
The rule is 3 years immediately proceeding the eligibility date and has not had a professional performance in the borough of Manhattan at any time in those three years. Unless I'm having a stroke, the last production in Manhattan was 2006, so it should be eligible for best revival (should there be enough candidates to warrant a revival award, which there will be).
Yes it is in Manhattan but the operative date for Spring Awakening is January 09 (still obviously > 3 years)
