At the risk of having a "real answer", Richard Kind always is one of those second-level "names" producers throw into a show when they want to boost attendance. They always seem to do it kinda late though... never really seems to work either.
How come Richard Kind doesn't ever originate in a cast? The only example I can think of is Bounce, but that never got here. (There was a Public reading a year ago with Bernadette, I think he was involved with that. So possibly in the future?)

Posted: 4/21/07 at 12:37pmI hope he does something on Broadway soon. I recently got familiar with him by seeing him in For Your Consideration and from his appearances on Kim Possible (which he is quite funny on, btw).

I forgot Bounce! lol.
But it was just a joke. No reason to take it seriously. I think he's a fantastic actor, and he's actually one of my favorites.
I agree with BroadwayAbridged, he should get to originate more roles.

Posted: 4/21/07 at 8:38pmIs there any way we could get him cast in "Phantom" or "Mamma Mia"?

OT: Beleive it or not KQuill, A LOT of people hate Phantom. It should close. The show is tired and I for one, can not wait until the day arrives!

and waiting.
Edit: Also, a lot of people *on this board* don't like it, which would be a horrible representation of the general public.
Oh no, the online theater know-it-alls don't like it...we're shaking in our half masks.
