How far back is the Mezzanine.. where does it overlap the Orachestra ? Would front Mezz there feel far from the stage ?
Front mezz at the Richard Rodgers is especially good. It overhangs row J of the orchestra.

another question.... i see they have partial viewing from the orchestra where the mezzanine blocks the view... does anyone know if these are good seats or not? i'm trying to buy tickets to Tarzan and am wondering if i should sit there... oh and 2) how are side views... are they any good? i just want to make sure i get the most out of my money (in terms of seats not quality of the show)... thanks...
Don't know about the side views, but I would say avoid the partial view rear orchestra seats - they're terrible, and you can only see roughly the bottom half of the stage.
During MOVIN' OUT (to give you a reference point), the band on the second level of the set was not visible from most seats in this section. Front mezz is the best at ANY theatre.
The Richard Rodgers has the worst rear orchestra on Broadway. (The odious Marquis coming in a close second). That ridiculous incline really irks me. And for a show like TARZAN where (I imagine) a lot happens off the stage itself, I can't imagine a worse place to sit. I can't see people paying top dollar for a spectacle if they can't see the spectacle.

another question... did Disney renovate the Richard Rogers in any way before Tarzan officially moved the sets in and stuff...
Disney doesn't own the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Why would they renovate it?

I had a choice of front row mezz---on the side or second row mezz in the center and I chose the latter. I hope I made the best choice.
