He is the most over-looked cast member and he designed those adorable puppets.
Rick will be missed.
I am really sad he is leaving. New York has a loss but Vegas has a gain.

Who's replacing Rick?
Anyone know? Cause Peter left...so who'll be Trekkie/Nicky on Tuesday?

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

I never get tired of saying it: I re: Rick Lyon re: Rick Lyon re: Rick Lyon Rick Lyon. I wish him well, and I hope he has a fantastic show tonight and gets all the love and appreciation he deserves. Anyone who goes, PLEASE report back for those of us who can't be there.

I second Therese. I hope Rick has a terrific final show tonight and wish the best for him in the future. I'd agree he's probably one of the more underappreciated cast members--he's such a great puppeteer and to think he designed all of the puppets as well...

Should he go to Vegas (which apparently is the buzz) I hope to see him there :)

People are saying that Christian Anderson (however you spell the last name...) is taking over as Nicky/Trekkie and as u/s Matt Schrieber and Leo Daignault are taking over... something like that... at least that's what people around here say...

Christian should be good. Him and Leo were AMAZING in the same tour of The Full Monty. Christian played Jerry and Leo played Malcolm. They were both amazing.

I was at Rick's last show, so sad. He really is so incredible, I'm going to miss him. I wasn't sure how many people in the audience knew that it was his last show, but when he came out for the first time he got a very nice entrance applause, which was great. When Rod said to Christmas Eve "I miss Nicky" I was like, awwww... It wasnt as emotional as Johnny's last show, but it was pretty sad. For me at least. We gave Rick flowers at the curtain call, but there were no goodbye speeches made. I was a little disappointed, but I found out later that Rick didn't want any. Johnny T and Anna Harada were both in the audience, which was cool.

According to Rick, he still is not sure about Vegas but there is a good chance he will be there. But I heard from one of the casting directors that Rick definately will be in the show. Him and Johnny will be doing 8 shows a week, and the rest of the casts will be doing 5 and 5.

As for the new guys, Christian Anderson is the new Nicky/Trekkie starting Tuesday. I haven't seen him yet, but he's supposed to be phenomenal. He plays the characters very different than Rick, with more attitude. I'm really looking forward to seeing him this week. Matt Schrieber is the new Nicky/Trekkie/Brian understudy (replacing Peter). He obviously hasn't gone on yet, but I know he will be amazing when he does. Leo Daignault was original supposed to come in for a few weeks to help smooth over the transitions, but that changed and he's not coming in at all as of now.

On another note, Anna Harada who had been on leave for the past month is coming back tomorrow as well.

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!
