That's pretty much is it. It doesn't read as well as it plays. Its very flawed, but very funny and charming in an off-beat sort of way.

ARTc3 formerly ARTc. Actually been a poster since 2004. My name isn't Art. Drop the "3" and say the signature and you'll understand.

I went to Chicago to see this, and I must admit, I'm puzzled. It has some cute moments, and a great framing device, but a lot of it felt like a decent college show, and the purpose of it is completely unclear to me. The "book", such as it is, is little more than a clothesline to hang numbers on, and the numbers range from pretty entertaining to pretty annoying. I'm a little stunned at all the attention this one is getting. I know Isherwood loved it, but that's hardly a guarantee of success with audiences. I'd be surprised if this show had a long continuing life. Someone will produce it because of the reviews, and then we'll see, I guess. Not for me.

Any word on what's happening with RIDE THE CYCLONE?  Any word of a New York production or elsewhere?
