Oh, but they are quick to explain that a LOT can happen in ten years.
There is no reason to believe that it is this LOT, the way the characters have become in LND, but undeniably, a LOT has happened.

--Besides, if Raoul is not made to look like a real loser in LND, then Christine has to choose between a faithful and loving husband and manipulator who doesn't mind stealing another man's wife---but a manipulator she has a passion for.

LND's Phantom is a "kinder gentler" Phantom. They want him to look like a star crossed lover, not a Jerry Springer guy.

And therein lies the main problem.

Webber and Really Useful just can't manage shows or produce - they are useless - mainly because Webber is so flipent.

Joseph and Sound of Music were only success because of TV and Cameron would never let him or the company take control of Phantoms general management as he knows how terribly it is. Webbers shows before Sunset were successes because they had a different producer who controlled everything.

It all started with Sunset when webber decided he wanted all the money himself - and look what happened there! Then it went from bad to worse with Whistle, Beautiful Game and Woman in White being massive distasters. Even the Evita revival was badly put together. Webber has lost a fortune and if it wasnt for this theatres bringing in money (even tho he had to sell 5) and his other 80s show bringing in the money - he'd be broke.

Lover Never Dies isn't doing too well in London. Lots of unsold tickets (ticket sellers who bought up tickets are loosing money) and the marketing is awful - just look at the design! Looks like a low budget horror film from the 70s! They are still making changes to the show - which is never a good sign at this stage.

I doubt it will be ready for Broadway in Nov, if they risk it and do open it, it will be very 50/50 on success...and if it doesnt open in Autumn, lord knows where you guys will get it ... Wizard of Oz is set to open at the Palladium in Feb 2011 and Webber is in talks to do another BBC show next year for either Jesus Christ Superstar or West Side Story revival...which will open end of 2011... so he is pretty booked solid and wont give up TV as its bringing in a lot of money, money he needs.
