If I remember correctly, that is totally wrong. Act 2 is about Molly trying to become cultured by going to Europe so she will be accepted by the Denver elite. The sinking of the Titanic doesn't happen til the last third of act 2 when she is heading home.

South Fl is correct. The 2nd act has no stakes, as Molly becomes estranged from Johnny and we are forced to meet an entirely new set of characters in Europe. They are mere obstacles as we wait for the obligatory scene that gives the show its title. In Denver the opened the show in the lifeboat and flash backed, but that was abandoned at the Muny. Whatever happens now, act 2 has always been a problem. We just don't care about these Euro folk who My Fair Molly. It's not the stuff of drama, and the show -- excuse the expression -- had to tread water. I saw it twice, with Grimes reprising her role in stock in the early 70s, and then with Reynolds in LA in the 80s (awful, not because of Debbie). The show never had a second half.

Would this be for THIS season or next year meaning the next season? (If anyone could best Katrina Lenk in the leading actress category, I think it could be Beth Malone in this role.)
