Is the DVD worth getting?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Parts of it are extremely funny and some parts just seem to drag a bit. I wouldn't spend more than $15 on it, but if you're a Robin Williams fan than pick it up.

I thought it was hysterical. Worth the buy, I say.

I love it. sooooooo many things from that show get quoted by me on a regular basis now... It is a bit of a "pop culture thing", though, this was back when Michael was protesting racism, Martha was in the process of becoming someone's bi**h, and the French judge at the winter Olympics was on crack... and don't be expecting him to sing 'Ladies Who Lunch' this is, as he said, Shakespeare with a strap on... You'd have to pay me a hell of a lot more than $15 to sit through him. He's like a Tourette's child on crack. And almost as funny.

its so funny.....i feel bad for the people in the front row, a combination of all his spit and sweat lands on them. he must go through 100 bottles of water thru the course of the show.

it has a handful of hysterical moments but overall it's not up to the level of a lot of his older standup. if you're a fan then it's definitely something you should have, but if you're just looking for some good standup to watch, you can't go wrong with George Carlin or Eddie Izzard.
