The Spring gig was canceled.

Meaning it won't be coming in this season. And probably not to that theatre anymore.

My point was that his SPRING gig, as I stated in the subject title, was canceled.

He is not going to be putting on a show as scheduled this SPRING.

Meaning it is not coming in this season.

The booking at the Neil Simon probably will not transpire, as another show will probably take it by the Fall.

The man is in the hospital and is going to have heart surgery. This is a matter of life and death.

Whether his show is "postponed" or "cancelled" is not. Can we just let it go at that?

Well put, miss pennywise. Heart surgery is certainly not a laughing matter! Speedy recovery, Mr. Williams.

Neil Simon or not, I'm sure there will be a space when he can and does take his tour through NYC.

Thank you, misspennywise. I hope he has a quick recovery and that he is properly taken care of. He is one of my favorite artists and it'd be a tragedy for his talents to leave us so quickly from this Earth.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

It should prove interesting what he does with this episode in his routines.
