Hi,
I was wondering if Rock of ages has any Strobe light effects used in it. I've seen it 4 times but can't remember. I want to take my girlfriend but she doesn't do good with strobe light effects for too long.
Thanks for any help

Did this really need to get bumped? It was on the first page...
You're surely on a bump rampage today.
I would think someone who saw the show four times would know. Did you sleep through the show each time?
Maybe it was too much alcohol. This is why Rock of Ages shouldn't serve alcohol during show time!

I don't remember the specifics about the strobe lights like how often they happened
Yet you saw the show four times. Usually by then, I can recall how often something may happen during the show.
I'm telling you, it's the alcohol.
Yes there are strobe lights- there is a warning sign as you enter the theater.
I would say that if you saw it four times and don't remember the strobe then they aren't that bad.
SHE saw it- her friend is the one who has problems with it.
That's not an unreasonable question-
Yes, but if he saw it FOUR times and can't remember for himself how much strobe there IS....chances are, it's not too much.

The question here is "YOU have a girlfriend?"
Why would she remember somthing that has no effect on her?
She asked a question- why give her a hard time ?
She was concerned for a friend- I think that was thoughtful.
no one is giving this person a hard time! just pointing out the simple fact that if the strobes were so present in the show to the point where it would affect her friend then those aforementioned strobes might be memorable... thus the show should be fine for her friend... or if it is a major concern, don't risk it and go see something else
People give HIM a hard time because he contributes nothing and simply asks the same annoying questions. Usually its about getting the cheapest seat available and now it's about strobe lights. The only thing that changes is the show he's asking about. And he truly believes that his posts are more important than anything else that goes on....hence his constant bumping until he gets an answer he likes.
History teaches us a lot about tking.
"Why would she remember somthing that has no effect on her?"
The strobe lights in Hair had no effect on me, but I remember them. And I only saw it twice.

Haha, that reminded me a clip from the brilliant-yet-canceled show "The Class". I couldn't find a clip of just that moment but it starts at 3:41 in this montage.

Tking, can't you call up the theatre and ask?

Tking, I've never seen the show but I have a similar problem to that of your friend with exposure to strobes. I've never let it stop me from seeing a show- I usually just bring a good strong pair of sunglasses with me that I can slip on if necessary. Maybe your friend could try something similar?

I didn't see the "you must contribute" rule when I signed up either.
If you find the question annoying - move on.
I just don't get it.
"If you find the question annoying - move on."
And if you find our responses annoying, you can move on as well.
He did get his question answered. Not to mention he's seen the show four times. If you are familiar with his posts, he is never satisfied with the answers people give him, even if they are nice.
Thanks for the suggestion- I will.
