With two shows from this season planning tours for the 2010-2011 season (HAIR and 9to5); has there been any word on when/if Rock of Ages will start a National Tour? With its broad appeal I would think it would be a huge draw for people from across the country (Especially to people who aren't into to theatre and may not even know about the show).

Wicked Tour (2/26/08); Wicked Bway (7/1/08); HAIR (7/1/09); Rock of Ages (7/2/09); Wicked Bway (7/3/09); Mary Poppins Tour (8/2/09); Wicked Tour (11/18/09); Wicked Tour (12/5/09)

Shrek (Broadway Production) (Equity or Non?)
Guys and Dolls (2009 Broadway Revival) (Equity or Non?)
West Side Story (2009 Broadway Revival) (Equity)
9 to 5 (Scaled Down Broadway Production) (Equity or Non?)
Rock of Ages (Broadway Production) (West Coast Sit-Down) (Equity)
Rock of Ages (Broadway Production) (Tour) (Equity)
Les Miserables (NETworks tour of TUTS production) (Equity)
*Billy Elliot (Broadway Production) (Chicago) (Equity)
Next to Normal (Broadway Production) (Mini-Tour) (Equity or Non?)
The Little Mermaid (Equity or Non?)

These are all of the shows that will be kicking off new tours in the 2010-2011 season (that I know of)

Here's the article that confirms most of these tours

I think 9 to 5, Hair, N2N, Shrek, and Mermaid are defintely, or planing to go out equity.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

^ I am 99.999999% sure that those will go out Equity as well...but I can't find any proof. Guys and Dolls, on the other hand...I don't know (I'm really curious as to whether or not this tour will get on its feet).

^ Les Miz has very much so been confirmed (I'm excited, I'd LOVE to see it).
