Rocky Horror Show

Not sure if anyone cares too much but I wanted to post a link to my live journal here because I recently posted some pix from my college's production of The Rocky Horror Show which opens next week.

Cheers,

re: Rocky Horror Show

Looks like a really fun production. I have fond memories of playing Brad. My Janet was fantastic and we had a blast working together. Until I actually performed the show, I never realized that Brad and Janet are on stage for 95% of the show. It is EXHAUSTING!

All I ever think about regarding RH is John Jeffrey Martin as "ROCKY" in the Broadway production, ohhhhhhh, what a dreamboat!

Those pictures are fun catstagestud, thank you!

Woohoo!!! Power to the fishnets...
So let the party and the sounds rock on, I'm gonna shake it till the life has gone, gone, gone - rose tints my world and keeps me safe from my trouble and pain!

re: Rocky Horror Show

I hope you mother likes it too.
We took our (grown) daughter to the Broadway revival a few years back, but she knew we were big fans of the Picture Show from when she was a little kid.

re: Rocky Horror Show

Those are definitely the most colorful costumes I've seen for Rocky Horror. Who are you playing?

Yes, very colorful costumes. Looks interesting

re: Rocky Horror Show

Who is John Jeffrey Martin as Rocky? The original Rocky in the Broadway production was Sebastian LaCause. Are you thinking of him? Because HE IS a dreamboat. Not sure who John Jeffrey Martin is...

re: Rocky Horror Show

bjive, I'm one of the male phantoms and the understudy for Brad. Yeah the phantom thing for us is the whole club kid/ drugie idea. It's been fun getting into this character to get the whole reations etc. to my drugs to have truth to them etc. Gonna be a wonderful show though; very stoked!

re: Rocky Horror Show

I went to the final dress of this production and I have to say it's gonna be a hit. Probably offend half the matinee crowd, but so did Angels in America when UA did 5 years ago. It needs to be tightened up a bit in the second act, but the director gave some good notes I thought. If anyone goes and wants to see a star in the making, be sure to check out Ben Crawford as Riff-Raff. This is his last show and he's been amazing in every one. Such a voice. He was in Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls, Carousel, Little Shop of Horrors and now Rocky Horror. I think we'll his name in lights someday.

re: Rocky Horror Show

The set there looks very much like the Broadway revival. Good job!

re: Rocky Horror Show

theatrespaz; very glad that you got to see the final dress last night. Hope you enjoyed it. Yeah there's a few things that need to be done to tighten the show up. And you're right, Ben Crawford is absolutely amazing. I hope that David (as Frank), Jessica (as Columbia), Sarah (as Magenta), Joey (as Brad), and Molly (as Janet) don't get overlooked by the power etc. that Ben has on stage. Their work is incredible also. Just a great cast to be a part of; not a single real weak link.

re: Rocky Horror Show

I was very surprised how good Joey was, I thought he had an amazing voice. But I'm worried on next season as it seems Joey and Dick have some problems, esp. when they were doing notes? Is Dick always that "vocal".

re: Rocky Horror Show

um...it seems to depend on the actor. I've gotten along very well with Dick this year. Next year is gonna be a wonderful season for UA.

Brighton Beach Memoirs
Side Show
Henry IV Parts I and II
Scenes from an Execution
The Philadelphia Story
She Loves Me.

Very stoked for an incredible season

re: Rocky Horror Show

very nice and politically correct answer. Are you going to catch your fellow actors tomorrow night. If anyone will be in Tucson, Rocky Horror is touring local gay/lesbian clubs tomorrow night. IBT's, Color's, and Ain't Nobody's Biz. They will be performing Sweet Transvestite and Time Warp. Sure to be a whole lot of fun.

re: Rocky Horror Show

I would catch my fellow actors if I were 21 or had an ID. I wanted to go with the other phantoms and cheer everyone on. Oh well, can't help the age thing :-P
