What do you mean she SHOULD play Grizabella?

Blanche in "Streetcar" co-starring Brett Cullen as "Stanley", and Judy Kuhn as "Stella".

From what I've heard, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

They'd have to rewrite that production so that Jekyll is only 5% of the time.

The Acid Queen in Tommy
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Definitely NOT Desiree -- I've seen her do it -- she was terrible -- that role requires someone warm, earthy and maternal -- the three things Betty Buckley is absolutely not.
Let's see, show's she'd be good for: The Marat/Sade, Nuts, The Mad Woman of Chaillot, and Crazy for You.

But seriously, folks....She'd probably be a fabulous Mrs. Lovett.

I like the idea of her being the Mom in A New Brain.
Nothing too high.
Let's face it, she's not 50 anymore.
Sorry.
Anywho, listening to her "Infinite Joy" hurts my ears.
It's just not good belting.
And to make things worse, she's flat.
So, no more high Grizzabelt for Betty.
Soothing, low alto belt songs will suffice.
Thanks Betty.

Personally, I think I have too much bloom.

In a few more years, perhaps Lilliane LeFleur in NINE. Or, she could play Louisa now in a senior citizens production of NINE at a dinner theatre in Cocoa Beach Florida.

I disagree. She would turn WORST PIES IN LONDON into a 16 minute song that would turn into her looking at her own reflection in her knife. I'm not a big fan of hers.

I think Betty is amazing. Though we all hear stories, I don't pretend to understand enough about her to pass judgements. She is who she is and who she is works.

For the lines of people that pay to see her nightly at every engagement she's done for the past 20 years.

When I first saw Witches of Eastwick, I kept picturing Buckley in the role!
