This show deserves another run when it would not get lost in the late 80's mega-musical "british invasion".

Anyone looking for a great "small" show (4 people) -- look into it!

No, I am not a shill and no finacial interest in any royalties!

I got the music to this show because you had said somehing about it. The music is absolutely beautiful. It's very lyrical, and it really just stays in your mind. I am actually surprised schools and community theatres don't do production upon production of this show. I think this is a very legit musical, but would be afraid to see it try to go up against the Mamma Mias, Lion Kings, Movin Outs, etc. on Broadway.
Who knows, maybe it would actually be a nice change.

I've been a cheerleader for this show for a long time. It's absolutely charming. Occasionally, it'll pop up regionally, but I think it is one of the best forgotten musicals out there. The songs are beautifully written with great lyrics. The first act is sumptuous, even though only written for two voices. And Romantic Notions is one of my all-time favorite songs.

I was a frequent visitor to Romance/Romance during its original run on Broadway. Alison Fraser was divine, in two roles that were tailor-made for her unique style and presence. The score is terrific, with the first act being sly and mostly humorous, and the second act more emotional and thrilling.

Sadly, it was Scott Bakula's last performance in a Broadway musical. Such an amazing talent, stolen away by Hollywood, never to return. Sigh.

I also LOVE Scott Bakula's voice. I just recently bought Three Guys Naked from the Waist Down. It's a really funny off-broadway show and Scott Bakula sings a beautiful version of "I Don't Believe in Heroes Any More". If you haven't heard it, I would suggest any Scott Bakula fan to look into it.

I am a shill and will pump up R/R. What a beautiful and witty score. Such songs as "Not Too Late", "Rustic Country Inn", "The Night It Had To End", "Summer Share" and "Words He Doesn't Say" are gems.

I ADORE ROMANCE/ROMANCE. Marvelous piece & score. A pearl of a show that is so frequently overlooked.

Is there a recording of it out? I've never heard of this piece. I'd love to hear some music from it.

I've played pit piano for R/R in a college production. The music is very satisfying to play, especially the second "It's Not Too Late".
