I didn't even like the movie (though I wanted so badly to love it). I guess maybe the musical could only improve it?

It's a new production at the 5th Avenue, which obviously has a history of serving as a pre-Broadway trial venue. I would have to assume that there are potential investors keeping an eye on it. Whether it happens or not is anyone's guess, of course.
