'Rooms' A Rock Musical Romance

Posted: 12/13/09 at 7:48pm

This show ran at New York's New World Stages earlier this year for a very brief run.
I've just had the album and given it a listen and it really is great power house of a show.
Bob, our regular poster raved about it when he caught the last matinee.
I think this could have a decent life in the U.K.

Hmmm, I listened to this last night and I'm not quite convinced;
I'm probably the biggest rock musical fan on here (or atleast one of the biggest) and it just didnt do it for me, quite flat, little emotion in the songs and even though it may be no clone of any musical, you only have to listen to the songs briefly to realise they are using the same chord patterns etc. that have been used by almost EVERY rock band for decades! Nothing new in terms of musicals, but something very repetitive in terms of music!
