Posted: 4/26/07 at 8:04pmNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'd rather pay good money to hear and see a trained singer/actor. It is an insult to struggling and established Broadway performers !!!! Leave the Broadway roles to the people who can do justice to them. from RC in Austin, Texas

FWIW, the (first) final Valjean on Broadway was never trained as a singer...

Well there ya go. Carolee Carmello has never taken a singing or acting lesson in her life, and that woman can ROAR!
What it comes down to is that Rosie, training or no training, cannot sing. Why do they keep having to put her in musicals? I don't get it. Why can't they cast her in a play?
Plus, I adore Ann Harada -- and that woman can SING!

Posted: 4/26/07 at 9:02pmSorry -- I am a little behind. When did they decide to extend Les Mis past June? I thought it was about to close... though I'm thrilled if it stays!

Poor Ann Harada.
(And don't bash me for saying this, but I personally can't stand Rosie O'Donnell's delusions of Broadway stardom. Please, Rosie, don't try it. Just keep hawking Disney shows on The View. )
