This show was funny. I saw it tongiht. The part with the dog made me loose it because I've always wanted to do that to a dog. Sherie Rene Scott's entrance was hysterical even though her and John Lithgow's parts were forgettable. Leo Norbert Butz was alight too. Not enough special effects though. When Leo Norbert Butz rides the weelchair over from the moving stage to the stationary part, the chair sort of jerks a little and I thought that was the funniest part of the show becuse it reminded me of Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump. Why did poeple clap for that one lady? She's not famous.

Wait, so everyone you haven't heard of isn't famous?
It's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. And Norbert Leo Butz. Did you do that on purpose?

Almost everyone we talk about on this site is a Broadway person.
I don't know why I give you the time of day.

Posted: 4/1/05 at 1:08amWell I mean she's one of those not very well known but kind of known Broadway poeple. Definitely not a headliner.

*shakes head in shame*
Bronx, Joanna is a stellar actress and seeing her perform on stage is a true gift and is a very well known actress. She is amazing. I almost pitty you for not being able to appreciate the true talent that she is. Do some research. Joanna Gleason plus Larry Kramer's THE NORMAL HEART equals the best piece of theatre I have ever seen performed.

What makes the part with the dog in the show so funny is the fact that you never actually see, hear, or even smell the dog. The dog is never mentioned outright. Therefore, it takes a very intuitive (and perhaps a tad psychic) person like bronx to pick up on the whole "dog" thing.
I also realize why bronx titled the thread "Rotten Dirty Soundrels" instead of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" ...
it's because the unseen, unheard, and unsmelled dog is named "Soundrel" because the kid in the show (also not seen, not heard, not smelled) means to name it "Scoundrel" but can't pronounce it right and it comes out "Soundrel". Ain't that cute? I'd go into how Soundrel, the dog, gets both rotten and dirty, but that might be too much of a spoiler.

Posted: 4/1/05 at 1:39amGuys. Don't you know Bronx's tricks by now? He knows very well who Joanna Gleason is and purposely got the title mixed up. He does these things every once in a while to get people riled up, don't you recognize it by now? Remember The Starbucks Theatre?

Yeah its also a pretty weird coincidence that Bronx did "rotten dirty" and "leo norbert".
