There's no difference between non-profit and not-for-profit.
12 Angry Men extended for the same reason other limited engagements at Roundabout/MTC extend - to give more people who want to see it the chance to. The productions are paid for by the subscriber base, all within the years designated budget. There are no financial wins or losses, as it is not a commercial production. The only win/loss comes in if the show transfers commercially or tours. 12 AM is on a commercial tour, therefore can make/lose money. Pajama Game will be the same way if and when it tours in 2007.

It appears you're crossed corrected or just stand crossed.
Sorry, couldn't resist the obvious avatar joke...
Yankee's right, though. Roundabout and MTC and others can produce on Broadway under their own umbrella of subscribers. If the shows continue in other venues either on Broadway or tours, they must take the same commercial risks (and tax risks) as any other show.
I guess, the meaning being--If you want to see a Roundabout show buy tickets ASAP, or risk not being able to get in...
Munk? Where are you on this? You would know and could certainly clarify it better than I!
