Question:

If I subscribe to a series e.g. 'A Tuesday evening' does this mean I can ONLY book shows (all three) on a Tuesday evening?

I would think so, yes.

I'd call the box office to make sure.

Yes, all of your dates will be Tuesdays, but there is a liberal exchange policy if the date you have doesn't work for you. You are not bound to exchanging to only another Tuesday either.

My Roundabout dates are usually a Thursday, but I am seeing Present Laughter on a Friday. The exchange was done at the box office and took about 3 minutes.

There is a 48 or 72 hour deadline (I forget) before the date on the original ticket, but it can be done as soon as the previous show playing closes and can be done at any Roundabout house.

a couple of possible downsides to subscribing to consider:

- while Roundabout's exchange policy is indeed liberal in the ways described by WOSQ, it's worth noting that tickets cannot be exchanged for a particular production in your series until the box office opens for single ticket sales to that specific production. requests received prior to the box office opening get put on file; i'm not aware of any of the other subscriptions around town imposing this restriction.

- several posters to this board (present company included) from time to time have observed that they've been able to obtain better seat selection as individual ticket buyers (even with discount codes) than as subscribers.

in my experience, Roundabout does not treat its subscribers as well as it ought. i gave up subscribing for single tickets three seasons ago; 9 times out of 10, there's a discount code floating about that just about approximates the discounted cost of a subscriber tickets.

I just love that the only way Roundabout could possibly have gotten my information is through Hiptix or the $10 tickets I've purchased on their website, and they keep sending me mailings to subscribe and see four shows for only $65 each!

FWIW, I subscribed to 3 shows and the very nice operator let me choose any date/time for any 3 shows I wanted. All 3 shows I chose are in different 'series'.
