Rumor mill from the NY Times' second-rate Riedel, Patrick Healey:

NORMAN CONQUESTS is looking to extend a month which would be followed by an engagement of David Cromer's OUR TOWN at the Circle in the Square.

One thing's for certain: DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS will close on May 24.

Oh, I hope Norman Conquests extends. I'm interested in seeing it but I'm not able to get up there before July, and even that's a bit difficult.

Hm. It would be interesting to see Our Town in a bigger theater. I'm curious to know what he would change, and if it would be a limited engagement. It's a great production, but not sure the show would sell. But I suppose it must be selling pretty well at Barrow Street?

I just didn't see what everyone else saw in "Desire..." I was bored, and just thought the acting was okay. I mean, sure they were committed, but where were the arches in the characters? I didn't see them.
