I wish David Mamet could write longer plays. I don't want superfluous dialogue, just a better reason to give up a whole evening. It's almost as if he writes plays for people who don't like spending an entire evening in the theatre. Don't get me wrong - I loved 'American Buffalo', 'Speed The Plow', 'A Life In The Theatre" and 'November'. I thought 'Sexual Perversity In Chicago' was lame, so over-rated, I wished that 'Glengarry Glen Ross' didn't have an intermission. But come on - an hour and forty minutes with an intermission?
