It looks like STEPHANIE BLOCK is joining Shoshana Bean, Lisa Brescia, and John Hill @ the Duplex on Jan. 17th!

ok, so a few minor changes... looks like Shoshana won't be there. BUT it'll still be an AMAZING night... Lisa, John and did I mention, oh yeah, STEPH BLOCK! And if that wasn't good enough, it'll be one of your only chances to see Scott perform his own music on stage! Hope to see you all there!

exuse me Jeff.... no he is not dying. He just doesn't perform that often, he is usually behind the scenes, and getting a chance to see him perform his own work is rare.

He doesn't perform often? It seems like he has a concert every week.

no I'm not being paid... I do it because of my respect and admiration for Scott and his work. And yes, he does have concerts... like "Monday Night's New Voices" but he produced it, he didn't perform.
And he mentions in his journal that Shoshana won't be there. And I think that for the event, and the location, Steph Block is a pretty big deal.

the concert should be a great event, truly.
But a little confused what you mean by "given the location." Do you mean the venue? The Duplex Cabaret Theatre has hosted many great performers and theatre folk in recent years - Stephen Schwartz, Galt MacDermot, Christiane Noll, Michael Feinstein, Henry Krieger, Carol Hall, Alison Fraser, Randy Graff, Karen Mason, Andrew Lippa, Charles Busch, Jim Dale, Susan Birkenhead, Matt Bogart, Jason Robert Brown, Alice Ripley, Emily Skinner, Frank Wildhorn, Ricky Ian Gordon, Malcolm Gets, Karen Ziemba, Maltby and Shire, Orfeh, Tonya Pinkins, Charles Strouse, Joan Rivers and many others...
Just sayin'... and not to name drop...

after not doing benefits for a while, and just arriving back in New York, after starring in Boy from Oz and leaving for the Wicked tour soon, given all the circumstances... she's a pretty big name to get. That's all...

so, i just read on scotts site that due to a missing flight from LA, stephanie isnt going to be performing tonight at the duplex...
but no worries- Lisa, John, Lauren, Daniel and Jenna are still in.
It's tonight, can't wait... it'll be so much fun, see you soon!
