Ages 6-14. Booo. (not that i have to talent to submit a video anyways (and even then would i wan to?))
im a guy i cant sing and im 18...but i'm still thinking about sending in a video.
Do it yay_gerb!
i say we have our own BWW not your ordinary princess contest. ALL ages welcome to apply. you probably won't get into the show but it's a great chance to embarrass yourself!
So great. I was considering making a video singing every part in Freak Flag...now that's embarrassment!
Hell, I'll sing "I know it's today" if ya'll want! lol
taylor you just gave me a great idea. i think i'll be able to do it. dont wanna ruin anything tho. i'm actually making a video of me and my friends doing The Confrontation sometime this week. if we put it on youtube i'll post the link lol.
but yes joe please!
And I was just thinking they should post all the contest videos just for fun. I'm kinda liking yay_gerb's "Let's have our own contest" idea. If anyone else does it, I may just join in on the fun.

Do you think we could say it's sexist and agist (is that the word used for age discrimination? ageist? whatever.) to not let everybody try out. I'm turning 13 soon, so I'm the right age, but they should have had another contest to play young Shrek. (there's a young Shrek in the show, right?) Of course, I'm about 5' 7", so I'm not quite short enough...
I'm 14, so I'll actually be entering. I've got some talent so who knows?

Good luck, and if you win, can you get me a free ticket for the show... and free airline tickets from Chicago to LaGuardia... and free hotel accommodations? I'm not especially interested in the show, but who can resist Sutton Foster, Brian D'arcy James, John Tartaglia, Daniel Breaker, and Christopher Sieber in one show? Plus I'd do whatever I can to get to New York again and see "Next to Normal"... and probably get tickets from TKTS for The 39 Steps.
I work till 10 tonight so it'll be around 11 before it's uploaded/processed. Do we just post the links here?
Yes please post links here!
And I'm kinda sad the videos aren't posted on youtube. I mean I understand because of the age thing, but it would be a lot of fun to watch.
I think this contest is a great idea! I mean what little girl doesn't dream of this? I told a few of the young girls I know who are cute and talented, and I know of at least one that's entering! It would be soo cool if I could actually watch someone I know in a Broadway show - and sing alongside Sutton Foster!
I say they should have a contest for the older girls [and guys] by letting us tap dance with Sutton in Morning Person! How fun would it be if the entire ensemble could be made up of contest winners for a night! Not that it would ever happen, but I would die if I could tap dance with my idol!
I'm really hoping when the contest is over they will at least post the two winners videos. Esp for the ones who can't make it. I'm gonna try to go. Stupid work, haha.
Anyone who want's the "Karaoke"

My daughter can sing the hell out of "I Know It's Today" but is two years too old, damn it.
I kept telling her to post something on YouTube...never know where it might lead.
I'm so excited about our version of this contest! HAHA.
"Good luck, and if you win, can you get me a free ticket for the show... and free airline tickets from Chicago to LaGuardia..."
Hell no. Buy your own ticket.
"I'm really hoping when the contest is over they will at least post the two winners videos."
From what I understand, the winners' entries will be featured on Shrek's website for 3 weeks.
Wickedlover, you should post a video.
How much of the song are us BWWers posting?
I think you guys should use the rules of the real competition.
