If we're using the actual rules, won't most of us be too old? It also says we can't go any longer than 2:30, but the song itself is 5:18. I think we should all just have fun with it

I still think it's sexist for them not to allow boys to try out. I would send an audition video of me singing the song and then belting "And I am Telling You I'm not Going" just in case they were wondering if I can do extremely dramatic acting, but I'm pretty sure my mom wouldn't let me post that online or submit it.

Okay, so I took a look at the website, and they're giving away the track from the recording for free, along with the official karaoke and a video clip of the full song, and sheet music with the melody and chords.

The website also has a video message from Sutton Foster. I wonder if they'll show that on Nickelodeon. Even if they don't, this will probably help promote Sutton Foster's name, which is great. Whoever wins, I hope they aren't the people in the drama club who think they're all that when there are many people just as good as them, because this will definitely boost their egos.

Am I the only one that saw this in the rules?

"Sponsor does not guarantee that the stage performance will take place. If the performance does not take place, Sponsor reserves the right to not award the Prize or to award the Prize in a manner to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In the event the performance does not occur for whatever reason, no compensation or substitution will be provided in lieu thereof; however, the remainder of the prize will be awarded."

Well there are a lot of things the "prize" is made up of - it states taht for sure, it will be a performance with Sutton - if Sutton is out, or if the performance is cancelled, then that would in a way, negate the prize - thusly, "the rest of the prize" would be given out if you performed, but with Haven, or if the performance was cancelled, and you had to perform on aa different day.

That's how i read that, at least.

How strict do you think the age limit is because I turned 15 in March but I think I sing the song pretty well. I'm going to send a video in just for the heck of it and see what happens...
