Posted: 7/26/09 at 12:12amIt's sad how John talks about trying to represent the musical rather than the movie, but the cakes really seem to have been modeled after the movie. It's like they didn't understand the challenge.

Posted: 7/26/09 at 12:15amWell the producers and creative team from the start said they weren't going for a carbon copy of the film but when you look at it it's literally the film on stage. The score is the only truly original part and it only has moments of greatness.

Posted: 7/26/09 at 12:18amI agree. I think Donkey would have been the best character to use to try and better represent the stage show, and she really just used the image of Donkey from the movie.
