I would be VERY interested in a video of this event (how can you pass up the opportunity to see the much-discussed Robbie in action - short of porn). I'm curious, however, if it will be possible to include Ms. Holliday's performance, considering the difficulties with rights that have been encountered in the past.

Congratulations to Rob, Jamie, Eddie, Craig and all that were involved in SO 3. Highlights for me were definitely Marty Thomas, Cheyenne and of course RobbieJ!!

But seriously, greatest.surprise.guest.ever. When Jennifer Holiday walked out I was practically jumping out of my seat. Amazing!

Thanks again all! :)

As someone who was probably the most clueless theater fan there last night (given that this is still a fairly new interest in my life) and missed a lot of the jokes that other folks got, thanks simply to the way a performer sang or a song they may have chosen, I still say the stage was full of admirable talent.

I couldn't hit a note if I had a bat in a 2x4 room, so I admire anyone that can not only hit them and sustain them, but bring them to life in a melodic way and/or with showmanship. That's what was most pleasantly surprising last night, just how well so many performers managed that.

Though Robbiej quite obviously owns the night, I will make room for Marty Thomas and the major, major surprise and delight of hearing Jennifer Holiday in person with such power that I felt like I wasn't worthy of being there.

Great job to all involved with both the show and, as always, the fun afterparty.

Not to sound too queeny about it all, but owing to the glorious spot that Dreamgirls plays in my theatre-going history, I'm sure I would have screamed like a banshee and possibly passed out at Ms. Holliday's appearance.

DG, luckily for you, you would have hit the floor with a nice set of cushioning, given how many other people would have been down for the count in front of you.

DG..when Jennifer came onto the stage I think I started hyper-ventilating....tears just filled the eyes. You'd think I never saw her do this live... I saw her do this twice on Broadway !!!

Dreamgirls was one of the first musicals I ever saw so seeing Jennifer Holiday last night was unbelievable! I'm still in awe. re: SO3 - Great Evening!

It's hard for me to imagine Jennifer still doing the number - Dreamgirls seems like a LONG time ago. But Margo has said she keeps singing here and there, so I hope she ripped it up. BOY do I wish I could have been there!

All the performers were top notch singing their songs. And while Jennifer Holliday kicked 7 kinds of vocal *ss (and who would expect any less) I think hands down the person who impressed me most was our own RobbieJ. Charisma, charm and the ability to sell his number to the nth degree!

Only that Cheyenne Jackson will take me in his arms and tell me it's going to be alright!

And yes, my boyfriend is fine with that!

Big thanks to everyone who came, participated, and helped out. Last night was truly a night to remember, and one I was quite proud to be a part of. Hope to see everyone at our next gig in May, I'll still be floating on cloud nine long past then! re: SO3 - Great Evening!

GREAT blog, Rob! (Can't wait for the pictures!)

Boobs, I DID tear up when Jennifer started singing. Dreamgirls was such a special show to me for so many reasons...it was incredible to be transported back to that time.

BG2, you are a wonderful addition to NYC re: SO3 - Great Evening!
