Does anyone know if you get a good vantage point of the stage from the extreme left or right side orchestra seats in the first 6-8 rows?

I was in the 2nd row, on the aisle, extreme house left. Great view.

Great view of the whole stage from the first couple of rows, but beyond that there is no sight of much of the scenery towards the back of the deep stage.
p.s. I was in the front row, extreme house left. Great view.
I was in Row N on the house left side, and missed the entire back of the stage. You don't really miss much action, but you do miss the gorgeous scenery and backdrop that are there. I went over to take a look at intermission.

How about the last 2 rows in the loge near the center of the theater?
It's a little further back, but I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

I agree about the VB not having bad seats. The loge practically has 'stadium seating'...you shouldn't have any problems seeing.
Additionally: SP is staged BEAUTIFULLY. It is NEVER forgotten that they are performing 80% on a thrust stage.
ENJOY...it's a wonderfully beautiful show.

Extreme sides may not be the best, but as it has been said, the Beaumont has beautiful sight lines and there's not a bad seat. But...could you possibly create an all-encompassing thread for all of your South Pacific questions? Easily referenced, one-stop shopping.
