I guess the planned renovation of the Belsco is off for a while. That is unless they are going to do a super fast job on it.
Since the Belasco needs so much more than a face lift, I am assuming they aren't planning to renovate it in less than 3 months.
I guess the renovation will be put off unless they have a really good feeling it might stay dark for awhile. If they smell a show wanting to come in, it will not happen.
Atlantic Theater Company's site is listing this as only running October 3-November 16, so maybe that renovation isn't that far off.
Link?
A 6 wk run? Sounds weird...why would they put up that much money and close it right before the holidays? This might be a ticket selling, marketing ploy.

Thanks, Frogs_,
I still think they're planning (an unannounced longer run). Maybe this is a way to "test the waters". See if there's BIG interest? What do you think? I'm trying to calculate the mathematics of this:
Avg Tix price: 65.00 ?
Seats: approx. 1,000
Daily Gross: (sold out) 65,000.00
Weekly Gross: 520,000.00
6 wks: $3,120,000.00
It's being produced by the Atlantic.
They don't need to turn a profit.
I saw it in London with much bigger names in the cast than Broadway will offer - Jeff Goldblum and Kevin Spacey. It was fun watching the guys go at it but ultimately, it's an empty and unsatisfying play.
Still waiting to see who is cast as Karen.
Started to read this play this evening but (much like Pinter) it is not really "readable." But I had to laugh. It won't be hard to commit this to memory. I think all Raul Esparza has to say for the first six pages is "Bob..."
Bring back Madonna!!
Looking forward to it - only because wife is a Raul fan.....
F**k Madonna! GET BRITNEY!!!!!!
