SPRING AWAKENING Already Being Played In Cinemas

It's being played at Carmike Cinemas. "Song of Purple Summer"
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Pacific Theatres here in California, too.

The only Broadway shows I've heard played as part of MovieTunes are:
-Spring Awakening
-Spamalot ("Knights of the Round Table")
-Wicked ("Popular", "I'm Not That Girl", "Defying Gravity")
-The Color Purple ("What About Love?")
-The Drowsy Chaperone ("Show Off", "As We Stumble Along")

I heard it before Dreamgirls at a Loews in Ohio.

Shocked the hell out of me!

Same here. As well as snippets from "Defying Gravity." Now I hear bits from "Mary Poppins," "Tarzan," "Spamalot," and "Spring Awakening."

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

hehehe, totally f*cked would be so amazing!

except I would TOTALLY embarass myself because I'd HAVE to get up and do the whole dancy thing in the end- which I admit to already having done in the privacy of my bedroom *shifty eyes*

I heard A CHORUS LINE in DC when we went to see DREAMGIRLS... it was weird to hear the whole build up and then ONE! Singular Senastion!

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Hah I want to hear it!

I've heard One Short Day, Defying Gravity, No Good Deed, and Popular at Crown Theatres (now Bowtie Cinemas)

Before Dreamgirls they were playing Jersey Boys and the disc was broken or whatever they used to play it, so it kept repeating the same verse for like 15 times. haha

They're playing "Don't Do Sadness" at the Galleria - unfortunately the ads started playing onscreen before I could hear how they cut the song. Do they only play the first minute and a half?
