Are the SRO spaces about as big as a seat? Are they up against a wall or in open space? Right next to another person, or spaced out?

Standing room is normally at the back of the orchestra, up against something you can lean on. You are right next to another person, but not uncomfortably close.

if it's the only way you can see a show, then DO IT!!! Othewise, get a seat.
