I have a question about SRO tickets: Do box offices limit how many you can purchase per person (like 2/person with rush tickets)?
More specifically, a group of friends and I are trying to see Next to Normal and either God of Carnage or Hair on a single Saturday. Obviously we'll get up super-early to rush NtN, but I wanted to know if we could do a divide-and-conquer approach and send two people to wait in the SRO line for the matinee of Hair or God of Carnage.
As a side note, whats a good time to get in line for matinee pr evening SRO tickets? I assume they'll be available given the popularity of Hair and God of Carnage.

MOST only sell ONE SRO per person. It's hard to tell as well....because they won't sell the SRO tix until they are officially sold out.

Posted: 6/26/09 at 11:18pmI got SRO for God of Carnage a few weeks ago. I was second in line at 4pm (they hand out tickets at 6). They give out two per person, and they have 20 tickets.

Hair is officially one per person but depending on the day, they are willing to skirt that a bit.
BUT... also depends who you get. Officially not on sale until sold out, but partial views don't count in that. Unless its the lady selling tickets. Then she will not budge. (I know cause Ive tried several times in the morning at 10 am and only when I returned later in the day, there were still partial views left but the guys said they always go on sale at 10am and they were sold out of SRO already. SOB!) (I eventually got SRO but again, woman said no, man later in the day said they started selling at beg. of day and sold me one of the last ones (and yes, there were still a few (very few though) partial views left)).
So basically? annoying cause its so inconsistent.

Posted: 6/29/09 at 4:40pmAwesome, we think we're gonna do Next to Normal in the evening, Hair the day before, and God of Carnage for the matinee. Has anyone done SRO for a Saturday matinee? If so, what's a good time to show up? I'm thinking maybe 9? And maybe 3:30-4:00ish for Hair on Friday?

Hair has a Mat at 2 on Wednesday & Saturday
and at 3PM on Sunday
The Box office opens at 10AM Monday-Saturday and 12PM on Sunday
Sometimes they sell it when the Box office opens
Sometimes they wait till lotto
A good way to check is see if the show is sold out the night before if it is then they will usually sell tix when the BO opens
