It is amazing. I love it re: STAGE BY STAGE: LES MISERABLES Full perfomances of ON MY OWN (Linzi Hately- one of the BEST Eponines ever), ONE DAY MORE, MASTER OF THE HOUSE, BRING HIM HOME and CASTLE ON A CLOUD and lots of other footage of different casts and songs throughout.

VERY interesting commentary as well.

You'll love it.

I saw this video a few years back, but I'll do my best to remember. Basically, it chronicles the creation of the show, from its inception up to its premiere. It features inerviews with the composer, lyricists, director, but no stars. It also contains some short musical numbers (some of them sung in foreign languages). That is all, I think. If you're already a big fan, there won't be anything knew for you, in terms of the show's backstory. Enjoy!

EDITED because I forgot to add that this video was filmed around the time of the Complete Symphonic Recording, as it features footage of its recording.

I haven't seen this in a long time, but somewhere in it (I think at footage from an opening) one of the creative team is super drunk and wobbly during some comments. It always used to give me a laugh. And I love Linzi Hately's performance too. She's adorable.

Agreed -- Linzi is fantastic. It's a heinous crime that she wasn't on the CSR.

The Castle On a Cloud footage is uber creepy though. They filmed her up close and very possessed looking.

Never seen this video, but it sounds like one for Amazon! Ya gotta love Amazon! By the way, this is my 200th post, should my thingy under my name change from Stand-by now?

shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

It's a bigass commercial for the CSR, and not much more.

Linzi was amazing.. and so young then as Eponine! I think it was also Barry James as Thenardier!

I really want to see Linzo back on stage. I don't the average theatre goer will remember Carrie, let alone that she was in it.

Marissa Dunlop played Young Cosette, I believe. I should really invest in this.

That's her. With the exception of Linzi Hateley, all the London cast members in the vid are also on the CSR.

Linzi Hateley was (or is) playing in Mary Poppins in London.

She's done quite a lot and has done quite well for herself in London.

It would be nice to have her back here, though.

I do think Linzi is pretty good, I guess. It is interesting that Lea Salonga is on the record as saying she was inspired by Linzi, she got to see her as Eponine in London. She said so in answer to a question of mine on her blog. Here is a link to the blog thread, Lea is bigsis222.

She was in the original cast, but has since left the show. Rebecca Thornhill is playing Mrs. Banks now.

Linzi did LES MISERABLES right after doing CARRIE. She's getting ready to go in to MAMMA MIA in London.
