When purchasing tickets to a specific show, what has the most influence on you?
1) Word of mouth (friends, family etc)
2) Reviews
3) Marketing
4) The Cast Recording (if a musical)
5) The Cast/Director etc...

Interest in:
the show itself
performers in the show (leads or nonleads)
composer or playwright
In ending, other's opinons don't sway me. I find it interesting though and enjoy reading reviews form critics and theater fans. Even if I have no interest in a show and know someone who's seen it, I still ask what they thought ect....

I would have to say, for myself, the cast and word of mouth influence me most. I must admit, reviews also play a part. Somewhat.

1. Cast (not neccessarily well-known names, just actors whose performance I enjoyed previously, they will often make me want to see them in different plays.)
