I am very happy to Hairspray nominated, and well as Nikki Blonsky and John Travolta, who I thought was fantastic in Hairspray, if he has played the part like Harvey or Divine, it wouldn't have worked.

But why Enchanted? I will agree that I did enjoy myself at the film, but it was mostly due to the enchanting Amy Adams, not so much the film. Where was SUPERBAD?! To me that was the funniest f***** teenage film in years, and one of the smartest.

I'm very happy that Sweeney, Hairspray, and Pushing Daisies were nominated for Golden Globes. I'm just a little bummed that Sacha Baron Cohen or Alan Rickman didn't get nominated for Supporting Actor in a Musical or Comedy and Travolta did. I'm not saying that I hated Travolta's performance as Edna, but after hearing all of the positive things about Cohen and Rickman, I would've thought either one of them would be nominated, but oh well.

Although I don't consider Travolta's performance incredible, you have to think about who nominated him. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is a group of 90 journalists who love to scratch the back's of huge hollywood box office draws. When they have their ceremony, they aim at filling that ballroom with the biggest stars of film and television. Granted, breakthrough actresses such has Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Amy Ryan made it in. But that's becasue their performances' are too big to ignore. What I'm trying to say, they may have only liked Travolta's perf but they loved the attention his name brings more.
