I might skip Sweeney since I literally just saw it, but I do want to watch Fun Home. Have they announced who's in the cast yet? The website is very bare. I have never been to this venue either, anyone know if seats on the side are a big no no / partial viewing for any reason?

Fun Home is playing at Studio Theatre in DC, not Signature Theatre in Arlington.

I know. I am asking about Studio Theater venue and if they have announced the cast. Signature Theater is significantly better about making information like that widely available and easy to find.

Considering Fun Home's first preview is the end of June, it is strange that Studio has not yet announced the cast, but they eventually do get all that info online.

As far as seating there, the space is fairly intimate, but I aim for the three center sections instead of either extreme side. Even the best staging is going to offer you looking at some backs or the sides of people for extended periods of time from those sections. In that regard it is somewhat similar to seeing a show at Signature in The Max.

BTW, much of the FH run is already up on Goldstar for $45 (down from $75).

Saw this today. It was okay but skippable if you've seen the current Broadway revival. Rayanne Gonzales as the Beggar Woman was the standout to me. Assassins remains my favorite Sondheim production from Signature.

I also saw this on 6/3. I agree, this production is enjoyable but not great. I've seen many over the years. Mrs. Lovett, Beggar Woman and Beadle were terrific though. The first timers I went with loved it.

Looking forward to seeing another Sweeney Todd at Chautauqua Institution next month. I may have to see the current Broadway production when I'm in NYC in October just to get a trifecta for the year.
