I am still in shock. I just played his cd for a friend recently telling him how if I could be a cabaret singer I would want to be just like David. He was my "facebook buddy" and we had some great laughs. I will miss him so.
At least we know he will be met by some of the great cabaret artists we lost too soon like Nancy LaMott. Just think of the duet they are going to sing!

David's family has sent us the following statement to add to our story about him "He is currently in the ICU due to a massive brain hemorrhage. While his passing is imminent, the family is working to honor the wish that he be a strong candidate for organ donation. Many thanks for all the concern. Please lift a glass (preferably gin) in David's honor."

I found this the most touching of all:

"He also loved good press. He would have been thrilled that his death was reported, retracted and reported yet again. He was a big believer in an encore or two."

I pray for healing and comfort for Robbie, Dave's family, and everyone affected by this sudden tragedy.
