Here's my short interview with Sally Struthers who is appearing as feisty Jeanette in a wonderful production of 'The Full Monty' at Riverside Center Dinner Theater. She is hysterical in the production. It's directed by Patrick A'Hearn.

I was thrilled that Ms. Struthers took the time to send me answers. I've interviewed over 1,000 people in the theatre and every interview is different. Some interviewees send short answers and some send thorough long answers. I've recorded live interviews (podcasts) with Broadway legends who gave me short answers too. And sometimes you get an amazing interview like the one I recorded with Valerie Harper when I was with another site.

Sometimes you say, 'Wow, this is great." and sometimes you shake your head and say "Oy Vey," but every time I think how honored I am that this very busy person took the time to do an interview with me. And no, these were not written on index cards - they were written out on 2 pieces of paper. You can read some other recent interviews below.

Posted: 3/30/13 at 12:37pmSally Struthers is the truest definition of an actor. She works her ass off, treats every job like its important, has no ego and collaborates with other actors. She comes in ready to work and is a quick study. She treats everyone kindly and is well thought of. She works non-stop. Why? Because of the previously mentioned reasons.

I worked with her on a production of "Best Little Whorehouse" a few years back, and she was absolutely wonderful in every way. Before I left to do the show, several people who had worked with her beamed and told me that she was one of their favorite people to work with, and they were right.
The best thing about her is that she makes everyone onstage with her better, even if they're good to begin with. She is so open and giving as an actor and pulls you in so completely that you can't help but let go and do your best.
No surprise, given that she was able to hold her own on the small screen with Caroll O'Connor, Jean Stapleton and Rob Reiner. I'm sure she's a treat in "Monty", both for the audiences and the company. (I know, I'm gushing, but she deserves it.)

When a sandwich dropped onto the floor during a scene she picked it up and took a bite. As it crunched - I literally fell out of my seat and me and my friend and my reviewer could not stop laughing. Now that's a pro! She came through in the crunch!
