Posted: 10/26/06 at 12:00pmWhen my uncle was 12 he was in The Happy Time with Sammy Williams on Broadway. If you don't know who Sammy is, Sammy won a Tony for his performance in the original cast of A Chorus Line. I really would like to write to him and see if he remembers my uncle and my grandma (who taught him how to knit gifts for his family because he was really poor and couldn't afford to buy them anything). If you know anyway I could find a way to contact him or know any contact info, please tell me. This is really important to me. I am really determined to write to Sammy Williams...

I'm quite sure if you send Baayork Lee the letter, she'll forward it to him. I know she keeps in touch with most everyone associated with A CHORUS LINE, one time or another.

or check out Ms. Lee's website:
http://www.achorusline.org/
she's been running it for awhile, primarily as a way to create a community of ACL alumni- allowing them to stay in touch and share updates with anyone interested. You may even be able to find more specific info on what Sammy Williams is doing now, or at the very least you can email her directly.

Posted: 10/28/06 at 3:42pmSammy is a good friend of my drama teachers and came to present to my drama class this past month. He is also going to help direct my high school's production of the pajama game. If you search, you'll find my sammy thread. He is really awesome, and I'm sure when he comes back, I could ask him about your uncle. He spoke very fondly of The Happy Time.

oh, that would be so awesome! When he comes back I will give you my uncle and my grandma's name. My mom thinks he will definitely remember them, but you never know. I surely hope he does :)
That's pretty cool. I wish he would come to our high school production.
Yeah, maybe I will look up the town he lives in. STALK! lol :)
